1 OWNER 50 cc SCOOTER KYMCO AGILITY MOPED

Just in from the chap who bought it brand new. He only used it for 12 months and then he bought a 125 . It has done less than 5. 00 miles which is nothing. ( milometer in km's ) It has just sat in the garage . nused. ever since. It looks absolutely great in it's original black and it has the big wheels so it is a much nicer and safer ride unlike the small wheeled scooters wheels that are absorbed by pot holes!I got it back to my unit. put some fresh petrol in it and it fired up and ran . I used the kick starter as the battery is obviously dead after so long without use but I connected a good battery so as I could check the electric starter and it worked fine as did the horn and lights and indicators. Brakes are free and there is plenty of tread on the tires and the exhaust is sound. PLEASE NOTE THE FOLLOWING.  The engine ran fine and sounded sweet at tickover and it revs fine to about one third throttle and then it starts to splutter. as soon as you back off the throttle it comes back sweet. It feels like it is not getting enough fuel. i checked that fuel is reaching the carb and it is so i suspect the problem is within the carb. The scooter was running fine when it was last used about 4 years ago. So if you like to tinker then this is for you. If you want to jump on it and ride it home and don't know one end of a spanner from another then it is not for you!The bodywork is great. ok a few minor scratches as it is not brand new but certainly not like many abused mopeds I come across. I just like to mention any slight imperfections. It was purchased from the old respected Doug Hackings in Bolton and was always kept inside and treated well. I have the original handbooks and even the original purchase invoice.  Needs an mot as it is now over 3 years old but i would be surprised if it didn't pass as everything looks ok. You could try and charge the battery but personally I would buy a new one as they cost very little for such a tiny battery. Come and have a look with pleasure. About my  business in motorcycles.  I specialise in classic and used machine projects as you will see if you look at the items I usually have for sale. often ones that have not been used for years. when I get them in i give them a look over. describe them as I see them and list them on ebay. I don't work on them to prepare them for retail sale and use. basically I just don't have the time and you buy them as they are. described to the best of my ability. and you are welcome to bring a mechanic to check over and that is the reason I can sell them at such bargain prices. As you would expect with used machines. nbsp;unless I can prove with appropriate paperwork. I ever guarantee mileages. Also. different people judge things differently. my description is my opinion after many years experience of  motorcycles and you may view things differently so view the bike. or send a representative. nbsp;before you buy. as I will not be responsible if you buy the bike unseen as i may well have missed something you consider was worth a mention. Believe it or not. some people expect untouched perfect showroom new when buying older items at vastly reduced prices compared with a new item!  Please bare this in mind when buying.
