Description

This is the mcdougall tribsa 750cc ex racing bikeIt's a 1954 bsa b31 nickled frameA triumph 6t bottom end with a 750 barrel and high comp piston. 9 stud bonny head. 3134 exhaust cam. Somerton inlet. thruxton one piece crankshaft. gold wader competition mag. genuine smiths clocks rev /speedo. twin sided front drum brakes (shoes newly relined). 19 inch Dunlop alloy rims with new Dunlop tyres. Gear box is stamped RRT2S. But i believe it to be a modified RR box now with standard internals. rebuilt by dave flintoft engineering with abrand new competition 16 plate clutch. Norton Manx road holder forks rebuiltFibreglass fuel tank with caswell linerThe engine has been rebuilt and anything that was worn was replaced it was split because it had stood for 30+ years with castrol R and it was completrely gummed up so all was cleaned and now running new synthetic oil . I brought it as a non runner barn find with no paper work and have since got it registered and road legal. i only cleaned a repaired any thing that needed it so its kept the original patina I reckon it looks good for it. I only got it up together this year and have done about 200 miles on it so its still on the shakedown really. it does shift and handles real well and it's very loud? There are 2 original triton race bikes kicking around that a guy found a few years back that are possibly the first ones made for racing it has the same spec right down to the wheel rim sizes as those two. you can find them with a google search for "jv triton" and there have been a few articles about them?I'm sure there's more to tell but that's what I remember right now . please have a good look at the picyures as they describe the bike best.

it is not a trailer queen  it has been completly worked over and although is not like a new shiney triton no less work has gone into it. i hope it looks as it should after 60 years.
