Survivor OSSA 6-Day Replica model. Largely original. low-hour bike. Taken from 34-year indoor storage in 2013 and revived with new tires. tubes. filter. rebuilt shocks. fork seals. cables and much more. Still has the 1979 license plate on it! After I found it. I went through the carburetor and cleaned out the tank & petcocks. changed the gear oil and she started right up. It had apparently seen little use. as the original rear tire was only half worn. but full of cracks. Motor sounds great. tight and quiet. Runs & shifts fine. I rode it to a gold medal in last year's Arkansas ISDT Two-Day Reunion Ride with no problems. This model has a Motoplat ignition and is an easy starter. Previous Ossas had an oddball dual-needle IRZ carburetor. but these had a 32mm Amal. which is simple to tune and works very well. Original fiberglass is pretty nice. but there has been a leak repair on the left side of the tank (see pictures). Has original seat. bars. levers. chain guard & aluminum skid shield. The front fender is Preston Petty and the speedometer is missing. so mileage is unknown. These bikes were infamous for having a giant. heavy front hub and a popular period modification was to install a smaller. lighter Japanese wheel. which this bike has (this is very beneficial) Rims & spokes are excellent. good sprockets. The hard-to-find original lights are on it. but are not wired up. The original tool kit was still under the seat (couple items missing) and I do have the vinyl shroud that goes around the carb and air filter. The rubber neck that joins the carb to the inlet manifold was cracked and was replaced. There is some light surface rust here & there. but the bike has had NO rattle-can touch-up shot all over it. It is original. The bike needs nothing to be ready to ride a vintage off-road event. I am selling it only because I have several other vintage enduro-type bikes and I can't ride 'em all. I will be glad to discuss the bike and answer any questions. Call Bill at (303) 877-6477. There is no title--a Bill of Sale will be provided. $500 PayPal deposit required immediately. balance via certified funds within five days. The bike IS advertised locally and is seriously for sale--I reserve the right to stop the auction if it sells elsewhere. Shipping is buyer's responsibility. but I have a friend in the motorcycle shipping business and I can help arrange a preferential rate for any 48-state address.
