1960 NSU Prima Lambretta Motor Scooter - Nice Estate Rare Find Complete!

This is a very nice and complete 1960 NSU Prima III motor scooter. It is a very rare Prima III Type 26/150 electric start 150cc. VIN 2318274 It was found in the back of a garage and was last registered in 1968. The mileage is original and it has been in storage since.

It is 95% complete missing only a right hand grip a front seat saddle/cover and the spare tyre. It was used by the original owner in the 1960s as a delivery bike down in Los Angeles while he was in college and comes complete with an awesome expandable delivery box and various gaskets and bits inside along with several original keys (very hard to find). The clocks/gauges look excellent just the bezels are pitted. All lenses lights and drivetrain are complete. No major damage a couple small panel scrapes. All original badges are intact. Even the original rubber floor mats are there. The little door for the keyhole works and opens and closes.. The electric start key depresses. The engine has the dual battery setup in the engine bay just like the NSU Prima V 175cc. It also has the full dash instead of a simple speedo clock.

For those who don't know about the German made NSU scooters they built the Italian Lambrettas until their contract ran out in 1956. From there they continued with their own line of scooters. The Prima 3 and Prima 5 in various models. But most 3 models came with a kick-starter and a simple speedometer clock.

As an added bonus this time capsule comes with the original owners retro 1960s helmet an official complaint letter for parking in the wrong place in 1968 and two 16mm film boxes one for Ma and Pa Kettle... This scooter hopefully sells to someone who is serious about restoring it. It's in the original "Mitro Red".
