Description

1 of 8993 made in Austria by Steyr-Puch from '67-'71. A few were bought by Sears shipped to America and renamed the SR125. It is unclean how many made it to the United States but I have never seen another one. Here is a review from Popular Science written in 1969:https://books.google.co.uk/books?id=FyoDAAAAMBAJ&pg=PA118&lpg=PA118&dq=sears+sr+125&source=bl&ots=6ZbIR2T9Fp&sig=QUAwKTuldYBhRV-jJ7DJkFyv-SU&hl=en&ei=I_6dS-CcLJTw0gS25cTCCg&sa=X&oi=book_result&ct=result#v=onepage&q=sears%20sr%20125&f=falseCapable of 65+mph this bike is beautifully balanced and handles better than any vintage bike I've ridden. This bike gets a ton of attention around town and at meets and rides. Sounds fantastic!in Austria from '67-'68. A few were bought by Sears and renamed the SR125. It is unclean how many were shipped to the United States but I have never seen another one.Only non-original parts are the petcock (I have the original) and the throttle cable. Less than 1800 miles on the whole bike. Small scrapes on tailpipe and headlight rings presumably from dropping it many years ago. Everything works except the speedo which worked up until a couple weeks ago. I believe the cable gear needs to be replaced or tightened.I have clean Vermont title and plate. I have a 1967 Oklahoma plate for taking it to shows.
