1943 Excelsior Welbike Paratrooper Scooter Motorbike Villiers WW2 NO RESERVE

Up for bids is my 1943 Excelsior Welbike. It is complete, unning, lthough it could use a carburetor and gas tank cleaning. The clutch works perfectly. Original canvas handlebar grips are in great shape. It was restored back in 1989, nd recieved a Junior award in the early 90's at Either the Davenport or Wauseon Ohio Antique Motorcycle Club Meet. After that it was used occasionally to ride around at swapmeets and then sat as part of a collection for 20+ years. Frame number is 3587 and the engine is XXE3852. For reference, elbikes did not have matching frame and engine numbers.
Contract 294/23/S.1946 dated 27 December 1942 for 1,341 (reduced to 1,241) Welbikes Frame number 2614 to 3954 War Department number C5153414 to C5154654. I'm told that of the 3641 Welbikes produced, nly 60 or so are known to have survived.
Included is an additional Welbike engine, XE4040 that is in good shape except for a crack in the aluminum exhaust manifold. It turns over with great compression, nd an additonal seat, ith what I believe may be correct original upholstery. I will also include some original literature, s well as a folde containing various restoration reciepts, nd photocopied service and technical manuals. Judge for yourself.
