Description
HISTORY
During the summer of 2008 I was at Brammo headquarters in Ashland Oregon. Brammo was manufacturing the Ariel Atom in those days and I was a customer. During my visit, was present at the employee-and special guest private viewing of the Brammo Enertia prototype electric motorcycle. It was very early days in the electric motorcycle movement and this bike was headed toward production. I ordered one of the first Limited Edition Carbon Fiber models that day. THIS BIKE My bike is 02/30 of the Limited Edition run. It was delivered to me during the 2009 AtomFest celebration which I organized at Hallett Motor Racing Circuit in central Oklahoma. Brammo was so motivated to make this delivery that my bike was the sole payload on a direct commercial carrier (40’ tractor trailer) which, fter delivery returned to Oregon empty! The last I knew, 1/30 was still at Brammo headquarters and I’m told that 05/30 was sold to comedian Jay Leno. Such is the rarity of this bike. The bike up for auction is the first Brammo Enertia to go into private hands – and I have owned is since new. The odometer reads 201 miles which is about 100 miles short of actual. In 2010, rammo paid to have the bike shipped back to the factory for a controller replacement and at that time reset the odometer to zero. When the bike came back, hey had also included the saddle bags you see in the pictures. Brammo has always treated me well. The bike is located in my heated and air conditioned shop where it has been stored since new. DELIVERY My preference is that the successful bidder would pick up the bike at my Bentonville, rkansas shop. I would prefer to hand over the bike, ocumentation and provide instructions on care and feeding, tc. As an alternative, would be willing to deliver the bike in an enclosed trailer for $2/mile, ound trip, aid in advance. If the buyer prefers to use a commercial carrier, strongly recommend an enclosed crate. In all cases, he sale FOB Bentonville, rkansas and is an “as-is” sale under the laws of the state of Arkansas. REASON FOR SELLING I have a number of specialty collector cars and motorcycles and I’m thinning the herd since retirement. I no longer ride, o all the bikes are going first. Also published at eBay.com
