1969 Maverick 50cc minibike minitrail Gemini SST

This is a 1 year production bike from 1969. Many consider this to be the Holy Grail of 1960-70's minibike history. This bike was imported for only 1 model year before the company ran into legal issues for not paying the licensing fees to Yamaha for the use of the engine designs along with other issues. The bikes were then re-branded in late 1970 and 1971 the bikes went to market as the Gemini SST series bikes.
Since this is a 1 year production bike it is very desirable to any minibike collector. I am sure that there are not to many of these 46 yrs old bikes left that are in running condition This bike is 98% original. This bike was completely disassembled. Engine was locked up so the cases were split and all bearings were replaced, long with all new gaskets. The cylinder was honed, ew rings, otary valve, otary valve cover was upgraded to the cast iron style from a later year Gemini engine as the aluminum was shot. The cases were bead blasted and painted silver. The gas tank was restored by a guy who does gas tank restorations as a hobby. The frame was bead blasted and repainted with rattle can paint job. The seat is an original OEM used seat that I got off Ebay, t has a few rips and tears but has the original logo on back of seat cover. The rims were bead blasted and painted, earings cleaned and lubricated. new tubs and tires installed. Carb was bead blasted and new carb kit was installed. All chrome finish was shot on all parts so they were cleaned bead blasted and painted black or silver, This would included handle bars, xhaust systems, as cap air cleaner covers. The bike will start on the first several kicks, ike shifts nice through all 4 gears. It is missing the original OEM gas valve, nd exhaust shield and the rubber front fork boots ( which are NLA)and 1 tank badge. The right side handle bar has a slight bend to it.
