Description

Very nice Model R -12 (R-75) German 1930's designed military motorcycle with original side car. This all terrain vehicle was located in a barn in storage down near Louisville, entucky. It was found with 469 kilometers on the meter. It was completely re-rehabilitated by Euro Motors in 2007 using Bosch parts. It has a two cylinder side wing engine 750cc. It is shaft driven with the side car free drive. It has the drive seat, iflemen's with the side car for a machine gunner or third party occupant. The motorcycle (motorrad) still retains its original black lacquer paint and chrome (front head light rim shows very minor surface rust and front wheel rim subject to re-chroming). The motorcycle is road licensed in the Commonwealth of Virginia as an antique vehicle and has been garaged stored. The engine has excellent compression (110 PSI). There is a redundant shift system. Beside the left handle system there is a metal shaft between the side car and the motorcycle allowing the other two occupants to shift gears for the driver. Everyone who has seen and touched the bike were in awe - it is a large bike. Very nice unique and fun vehicle.

Overhaul performed: Re-wired turn signals; new rings and valve job; rebuilt carburetors; replaced key switch; new wiring harness; new spark plugs and cable; new intake boots; and B38-6A volt battery. Fully checked out. Many new parts. Uses unleaded gas. Kick start. Engine oil 50 W. Top speed 55 mph.

Bike History: Motorcycle purchased on January 05, 006 from a Kentucky horse farm whose owner used it to get around his property (no ATV or golf cart for him). His children were worried about his age so they contacted me. The motorcycle/side car was stored in one of their many barns. Went down saw bike, urchased same. It had Kentucky antique plate on rear fender mounting (H17574).
