1983 Maico 490 Spider - Top Quality restoration

This is a very nicely restored example of a 1983 Maico 490 Spider. I took my time restoring it and nearly took 2 1/2 years to complete.It has been on display since completed and has zero hours on it.If you have any questions feel free to contact me and I would be happy to answer them. I will go into detail about the bike below.
I realize this is quite a bit of money (at least itis for me) so I am ok with taking a two or three part payment as long as it does not stretch to long. I don't think you will find another in this condition. If you are a Maico fan/collector than this is the bike for you. Carpe Diem!

• Frame: the frame, wing arm and fork bottoms were bead blasted and powder coated.
• Body: fenders, ront # plate, ank and side panels are all new. New billet gas cap. Decals are top quality custom made and all new as well.
• Motor: motor was taken apart and inspected, ew bearing, eals were installed and top end was done(1st over). New Vforce reed cage, ew intake manifold and New air box boot installed. Billet ignition cover installed (stock ignition)
• Seat: completely rebuilt with new foam and seat cover
• Suspension: forks and Ohlins shock completely rebuilt. New spherical bearings installed.All new bushing were pressed into the linkage and new shock & linkage bolts were installed. Also shock spring was powder coated yellow.
• Drive:New rear sprocket/bolts, ew DID gold chain, ew counter sprocket and billet case saver. New chain guard and new chain defense.
• Controls: New Magura perch's, erch cover, evers installed, ll new cable and new throttle assembly. Billet rear brake pedal, ew MOR Wide foot pegs/ springs/pins and stainless brake rod installed.NOTE: compression release was not installed when pictures were taken but will be.
• Wheels: Rims were striped and re-anodized the correct shade of gold. Hubs were sand blasted and professionally painted with epoxy paint and then they were laced to the rims with Buchanan stainless spokes. New billet brake plates were installed with all new hardware. New tubes, im locks and Metzler MX tires were installed.
• Exhaust: pipe and silencer are OEM and in mint condition. New rubber pipe mounts

SHIPPING: costs and arrangements are the responsibility of the buyer. I don't mind holding the bike for a while once it is paid for. I realize it takes time to make shipping arrangements and I want to make this a stress free experience for the buyer. I do have a pretty good list of shippers I would be happy to pass on to you.
