US & AUSTRALIAN BIDDERS PLEASE NOTE; BECAUSE OF RECENT UPGRADED SECURITY REGULATIONS I CAN ONLY SHIP VEHICLES TO PERSONS IN THE US OR AUSTRALIA WHO ARE IN THE POSSESSION OF AN OFFICIAL PASSPORT. (AN ID-CARD OR DRIVERS-LICENSE ETC. ARE NOT GETTING ACCEPTED ANYMORE BY AUTHORITIES IN ORDER TO IDENTIFY A RECIPIENT).  PLEASE MAKE SURE THAT YOU?€™RE ABLE TO MEET WITH THIS REQUIREMENT BEFORE BIDDING. OR MAKE SURE YOU CAN HAVE SOMEONE IN LINE WITH A VALID US OR AUSTRALIAN PASSPORT WHO IS WILLING TO HELP YOU OUT ON THIS. Today it is very hard to source a very rare machine like this. especially in an original and not restored condition. After WW2 there was in Europe a huge demand for transport in an economical way. where this Poirier trike was a cross-breed between a motorcycle and a little two-seated (sports-)car. In France this type of vehicle was classified as a Voiturette or cycle-car. meaning very small motor-vehicle. In total only a couple of thousand of these Poirier trikes have been built. this trike has serial # 1936.

The vehicle has been taken out of regular use about 20 years ago. but has been running a couple of times a year during this period. the odometer reads 14329 km = 8903 mile. but have no history whether this could be correct.

The body is showing only some very light surface rust and a few dings and scratches. which is to my idea perfectly acceptable after 57 years.

I have sold a fairly similar Poirier trike on eBay a few weeks ago. which machine belonged to the son of the person where this trike came from. I am a very active classic m?€™cycle dealer since the year 1979. where over all these years this is the fourth Poirier trike that I have been able to get hold of.

This trike comes with an official European certificate of origin (which states the make. model. year of manufacture. displacement. weight etc. ) and I will provide the buyer an official bill of sale from my company here in Belgium. Furthermore I?€™ll make sure that all the correct export-paperwork will be in place before the bike leaves from here. which documents will make the process of importing it into the US an easy ride.

-On this listing I?€™m offering a special (fully sealed) crate. careful packing and physical shipping from here in Belgium to a US Cfs as close as possible to you at my expense.  Please note; In case the bike needs to be shipped to another destination than the US. please ask whether I can offer you such a deal as well before placing a bid (mostly this is not a problem. but then it?€™s always better to make sure).  Furthermore. when you want to receive some better photo's of the bike/shipping. or want to recieve more information about this item. just let me know.   -Additional information to this listing;Like can be seen. the bike has after 57 years MANY traces of use and age (patina).   I only offer shipping by sea. where of course we can advise you on forehand about the process of importing the machine into your country.   Like can be read in the link. nbsp;this antique bike is because of its age and displacement exempt from US import-duty and EPA regulations; https://help. cbp. gov/app/answers/detail/a_id/278/~/importing-classic-or-antique-vehicles-%2F-cars-for-personal-use

The crate will safely sail in a sealed container and the shipment is fully insured for eventual damage/loss.

I accept payments through PayPal.

The free shipping offer is only for US (North America) mainland destinations. but most probably something can be worked out in this regard when you live somewhere else.

When you live in another country and want to find out whether this offer would also be possible for you. nbsp;please ask before bidding.
