 The mid 70's were some wild times. weren't they? The suspension revolution was in full combat attack mode and every manufacturer was scrambling with this 'new' technology and trying desperately to stay ahead of their competitors and out do one another. Maico would come out with no less than 5 FIVE models in 2 TWO years!! from 1974 to 1976 a NEW bike was introduced virtually every six months!! and if you weren't racing on the latest & the greatest bike available that particular week. you were out classed and obsolete!! I remember it well: it was like the wild wild west back then --- a really crazy time for motocross. that's for sure.

This very rare 75. 5 model was the last iteration of the GP model line. as the tiny W. German Maico factory was busy preparing the '76 AW's for production and distribution.

This bike is sporting a powdercoated frame. excellent condition polished tiny GP coffin tank. Works Performance shocks. WheelSmith pegs. rebuilt suspension. Magnesium front brake plate. aluminum wheels with DID rims are very clean w/no dings. YZ front hub w/custom machined brake stay (this brake will actually STOP the bike!). nice original plastic airbox w/new Uni filter. like new tires & tubes are excellent (vintage Metzlers). original Magura controls are excellent. Mikuni carb conversion. AW plastics in white. original seat cover with GP tall seat foam. excellent original pipe & silencer.

Has the very rare vintage WHEELSMITH GP TITANIUM KIT which was an over the counter set of BOLTS and FASTENERS made from Ti including: both axle bolts & spacers. swing arm bolt. all motor mount bolts. and various triple clamp and assorted nuts and bolts all custom machined out of billet titanium for your Maico. Very trick. very rare.

Extremely rare boxed section aluminum PRO-FAB / MOTO-X FOX  swingarm. This is a rare and hard to find item. Billet aluminum brake stay gold anodized.

NEAT BIKE---75. 5's are hard to find. In very good to excellent shape. Some minor corrosion around some of the nuts & fasteners (see photos).

Bike has been sitting for a while since resto and is ready for YOUR RACE PREP prior to riding or racing it.
