I put 1960 as the year model but I don't have a clue when it was built, ould be earlier or later, ut I had to have a date for the ad, anted you to know that up front, eep reading maybe it will help. I recently got this jewel in a trade, will tell you all I know about this scooter/mini bike. I have checked every web site know to man and can find absolutely nothing on the Hill Kat. Vintage minibikes.com has 94 looks and no one knows who made it or anything about it. It has a 10 hp Clinton engine, checked the serial number from the Clinton web site to find that out. It has a two speed transmission low and lower, t is not a fast bike in second gear maybe 15 miles an hour top speed. It is painted US Forest Service green and appears to be the original color, ince there is no paint underneath where it has worn off. The rear tire was flat when I bought it, he size on the rear is 8.00 x 4, found out that it is the same size as a Piper Cub airplane, ost new is $325.00 the inner tube is $139.00, ust an FYI. It has a clutch on the left handlebar to shift from low to high, here is a front brake and no rear brake. Both seats lift front one to access the engine and the rear one to access a place to tie down gear, assume. I have driven it around the neighbor hood and it runs great, oesn't smoke just slow. The seats need to be recovered as you can see from the pictures and the paint I haven't done anything to it, hat you see is what you get, o warranty sold as is where is. This little scooter looks somewhat like a Tote Goat, ut the two speed transmission in the Hill Kat makes it very rare and also the solid body on the Hill Kat sets it side from the Tote Goat. I don't know if I have stumbled across something that was a one of a kind built for the US Forest Service, nd never produced again, wish I knew for sure. I have decided to put it on Ebay and sell it, wish you luck in bidding and reserve the right to cancel the auction as it is listed locally as well. I will help getting it to a shipper of your choice, ut you must make arrangements to have it shipped, f it makes the reserve, ayment in full will be in 48 hours after the auction ends. Any other questions please don't hesitate to ask, est email for quick response is lkelley@helimaxaviation.net
