The 2015 Polaris Slingshots are the 10 year design brain child fromPolariswho has been deep in the 4 wheeler and snow mobiles until this point. Polaris revealed the 2015 Polaris Slingshot reverse trike last year as local governments scrambled to classify the insane looking contraption on three wheels.
The current Slingshot lineup comes in three different packages dictated by color. TheBase(grey in color), heSL(red), nd theSL LE(orange) – which is what we’re looking at here. The SL LE stands for the Limited Edition run of the Slingshot’s most expensive package - so this is a great deal for someone looking for everything at a discounted price.Beyond the initial price of the Slingshot, uying it from the dealership (stealership) also entails high-priced “crate” fees and assembly fees (which is odd since the machine comes pre-assembled) making the MSRP crawl up well beyond what it should be – another great reason to purchase my Slingshot *wink*.

This Polaris Slingshot is legal in 49 states. To date, aryland can’t seem to get itsact together to allow for purchase in their states. “But I see these in Maryland though?” Yes – there were loopholes that the State Government has since closed – another reason why not to live in MD. *** Connecticut allowed the sale of Slingshots on July 1st 2015.*** You’ll also be happy to know that this contraptionis American born and bred – coming straight out of Polaris’s factories in Iowa (it doesn’t get more American than Iowa).
- Are Helmets required?Each state government handles the laws regarding autocycles differently; however, n the state which this spectacular Slingshot is located, elmets are required, hus – you’ll need to bring your own helmet to test drive.
- Are motorcycle licenses required?Again – this is handled differently in every state. Virginia, owever, o longer requires a motorcycle license, o you won’t need to bring one with you to test drive.
- Are you open to trades / discounts?The price is competitive based on other similarly priced Slingshots, o no –price is firm(think Carmax). I’m confident that this is a solid machine. Trades? I am not open to trades – already picked out the Sling’s replacement.
- Have you had any accidents?Nope – not a one. This vehicle is in perfect ready-to-drive condition. She’s a beaut and hasn’t seen the inside of a body shop.
- How have you handled recalls?I’ve responded by taking this Slingshot to the shop whenever I’ve heard rumor of a recall, nd so far so good. According toColeman’s Powersportin Woodbridge and Falls Church, he’s good to go with a clean bill of health.
- Who has performed maintenance?Polaris has very strict mileage service requirements. All initial requirements have been performed byColeman’s in Falls Church. Ensuing oil change were performed by a Slingshot Owner’s shop at9201 Industry Dr., anassas Park, A 20111. All paperwork for services will be transferred with sale.
- Will you pay for shipping?Nope. You can setup shipping however, nd I’ll gladly meet the shipping guys to get the Sling loaded up and on its way to its new happy home.
