Description

I do not have a title for this bike, but it was last registered in 1970 in the state of Wisconsin. I will sign a bill of sale.
Here is a bike you don't see every day!! (Model# 810-89571) She is rough and I have not attempted to start her. The bike does have good compression though and there are no unusual noises when I spin the motor over. This Sears 250 Twingle was ridden 57 miles on a farm until 1970 when they stored her away never to ridden again. The tank is in nice condition with no dents, but it is missing one of the knee pads. the inside of the oil side is very nice and the gas side has a very light rust coat(very cleanable). The tires are toast from sitting and the rims are real rusty. The exhaust pipes are surface rusted but I can see no rust thru areas. This bike is very complete and would not be a very hard restoration for someone. The bike is missing the ignition switch on the top of the headlight. The seat is damaged but the springs on the bottom are in great condition. This is a 250cc two stroke motorcycle and rather unique because it has two pistons in one cylinder(thus it was called a twingle). The fuel tank has two stroke oil on one side and gas on the other. They mix together and go to the single carb on the left side of the cylinder. If you google "Sears 250 Twingle" you will see others that are in running condition. I was planning on restoring her and riding it around my neighborhood but I have too many other projects that I have not finished yet. Please e-mail with any questions or concerns, and I will try and help.
