2011 ERIDER B3000 MAROON

Hi welcome to my auction.  I have for sale an E-Rider B3000 electric moped. I purchased this in the summer from a car auction with the intent of using it throughout the summer for cheap commuting. It was registered on 25/10/2011 and as you might be aware. new vehicles don't need an MOT for the first three years. So the MOT is now due.  Road tax is free you still have to declare is online as usual but it doesn't cost anything. It costs pennies to charge and will go for a distance of 50 miles before requiring a recharge (although the instructions recommend charge top-ups whenever possible). It just plugs straight into a standard three pin mains socket via a charger unit. It plugs in via a port within the seat storage compartment. Charge time is around 4 hours. though usually less depending on how depleted the battery is.  It comes with 2 keys and a battery pack that you can take and charge in the house.  It has a 3000 watt motor (3kw) which allows it to get up to speeds of 45 miles an hour. It's equivalent to a 100cc scooter or thereabouts. I have all the paperwork for it and it has two keys with it. It's supposed to be very economical. Anyway. the bad news is that its for spares or repairs as it doesn't work. The problem is when i got this back from the car auction. it wouldn't start. I charged up the battery and the lights work as you can see from the picture but i just cannot engage the electric engine. Apart from that it looks perfect and everything else runs perfectly.  I contacted someone in London (victormotorslondon@gmail. com) and he apparently repairs these professionally. He mentioned that the "controller" could be faulty but i haven't had the time to take the whole moped down there. I haven't had the means lately either.  So i've decided to sell it. it's a really good price for a low mileage and the date of registration is really recent. I paid a lot more for this at auction but since it doesn't turn on. i am prepared for it to go for a low buy it now price. It could be that it is a really quick fix so hopefully someone out there can get it back on the road and use it. Buyer to contact me within 24 hours of the end of the auction. The buyer will have to arrange his own transport (a small van should do it or zipvan) to transport the electric moped.
