Vintage Motobecane MB1 1925

Thanks for taking the time to look at this advert. I'm selling this lovely old Motobecane MB1 as I've decided that I'm not going to use it enough to warrant hanging on to it and I need to finish other motorbikes as a priority!! It has been sympathetically restored. not concours but very presentable with great patina. It isn't registered but I have a dating certificate form the Vintage Motor Cycle Club dating it at 1925. I also have the form to send. along with the certificate (and 55pounds) to the DVLA to get an age related registration number. The bike starts and runs lovely. no clutch so direct drive via a belt. Brake is by means of a wooden block that rubs on the belt pulley so don't expect something that will stop (or go) like a modern superbike!! It is to original spec even down to the lovely sprung front light. It's noisy as they didn't fit these with any silencers. A great bike to do the Banbury Run on which was my intention as they aren't too complicated to ride unlike some pre-1930 bikes. Engine is a 175cc two stroke- mag has been rebuilt and from my limited use of it (private roads only officer!) has been reliable.
