One of a kind VERY RARE Koehler Escoffier Moter Scooter

 This scooter was purchased about 25 years ago. It was complete and original. I disassembled it and wanted to restore but lost interest (and money) A couple years ago I decided to go ahead with it. I took the painted parts to a restoration shop to be painted. To make a long story short. it cost me about $3000! I didn't realize he had the  paint analyzed to get the exact pigment. Now I'm in it for good. It took him another 6 months to find the right guy for the pin striping. When I got it back I hired a motorcycle restoration shop near Chicago to complete the bike. After 6-8 months I finally ordered them to return it. It cost me another $1000 for them to plate the handle bars and assemble it. None of the hardware or anything for that matter was even cleaned up much less polished. This bike has wiped me out! There are also still a few parts not shown that were never put back on.

I spent countless hours researching this thing. It appears this could be the only one like it. ANYWHERE! Not even the museum in France has one. So with that said. I'm not sure about the year. the size motor. or much anything else. Please do your own homework and see for yourself. I would love to get my money back for this.

(another note. The front badge was removed and the idiot put a piece of masking tape over it and when I removed it. it took quite a bit of paint with it. Still enough there to repaint though)
