Francis Barnett 1955 Falcon 70 motor cycle

For auction my falcon 70. age and health unfortuantly induce sale. First registered in July 1955 she now has a age related number plate although I still have the original. The engine has been rebuilt with all new bearings and oil seals and piston. by a qualified mechanic. the one side of the crankcase was damaged and had to be replaced . ltering the original engine number. The Bike is falcon 70 with the exceptions of the front forks. wheels and stand. the saddle is green instead of black. nd has two small areas of damage see photos. the tank is original and does show some signs of its age again see photo. The machine is in road condition and indeed has been ridden regularly for short runs in the New Forest. The main frame is powder coated. The bike is fitted with indicators crash bars back and front and I do have a cowling type windscreen but no fixing brackets. on the last run out a little hesitancy was noted around 50 mph. o some fine tuning is required. The carburetor which has a spare float has been refurbished by Villiers. the ignition is by an external coil and the ignition coil replaced by a third lighting coil.   I do still have the original ht coil it almost brand new. only having been used for a short while till the conversion to outside coil was made.
