1958 Ariel Square Four

Rare opportunity to purchase original Ariel parts.  all parts are from the same original bike. All parts requiring paint or chrome have been prepped very nicely and are in excellent condition in every way. This was a project that the previous owner had been working on prior to passing in 2008. He was meticulous with the labeling of all hardware and non obvious parts/bits. The bike was a running and ride-able bike when purchased in approx 2005 . I have all the components including the fenders and tank which are all dent free.   Everything shown in the 9 pictures is included in the auction. please view pictures carefully .

The fuel tank appears to have been painted (poorly) in original scheme and has one small area of surface rust on lower left corner exterior. I do not recall it leaking at all. The original filler cap is there. The inside looks to be rust free.

 The areas on the paint prepped parts that appear to have rust in the pictures can be all but wiped off with a bare hand and is superficial. surfaces are smooth.

The frame is completely unmolested and in excellent condition . bead and sand blasted for paint. Oil tank . tool box . headlight bezel and trim are all excellent and ready for finish.

I do not see signs of rough work anywhere on the parts and I am sure whoever ends up with this will have a hard time getting the grin off their face while going thru this treasure trove.

The forks are nice . but have not yet been rebuilt. All the controls pictured are in remarkably excellent condition. If I recall correctly . this bike had just 5000 miles on the odometer when we purchased it . and the odometer  was working.
