1950 Garelli Mosquito .
This very rare 50cc rollerdrive Autocycle. produced by Garelli was known as a BMG (Bici Mosquito Garelli) Model 315.
This Light Autocycle was only produced for 18 months in very limited numbers. This particular example was made in 1950 and is one of only four known to exist in this country.
This moped/Autocycle has been restored by its previous owner and was last on the road in 2011. We have had it running and the engine runs well. it rides ok and everything seems to work as it should.
It has a sprung rear frame and girder forks at the front and the drive is via a rollerdrive which runs the rear wheel when engaged. Though it is a light Autocycle. it is classified as a moped so can be used accordingly. Also being pre 1960 it does not require an MOT and also qualifies for free road tax.
There is a V5 that goes with the bike. and the Registration 150 YUA also comes with it. However this is an age related. non-transferable number .
