2011 (61) Beta Alp 4. 0 for sale These bikes are extremely rare in UK (only 7 registered in the UK in the last 4 years - with total registered at 32) and are a highly competent. well made and set up trail bike designed specifically for the Alpine trails - as a result several are being used for long distance trials in this countryI am the second owner and have had the bike for just over two years - mileage is around 4300 and the bike is in excellent condition having been used for local trips. very light and a little bit of. ostly dry. green lane work and the occasional longer trip. The Alp is a joy to ride and is known as the "fun bike" - it is light. nimble with the fuelling spot on and the low seat height and upright position gives a lot of rider confidence. It can keep up with A road traffic and buzzes along ( 6 gears) happily at 65+ but is most happy on B roads or the trails rather than long motorway journeys. The bike weighs in at 130kgs and has 21/18 ins spoked wheels fitted with Pirelli MT21 dual purpose tyres and uses the die hard Suzuki DR 350 - 30bhp a real bullet proof engine. The bike is standard except for the addition of KTM hand guards. rear Beta rack with a top box in situ and it has been kept in garage all its life. Last oil/filter change was at 3600 and despite bring on an Optimate charger. it has recently had a new YUASA battery fitted. Spares are readily available from UK Beta Agent Lampkin or from Italy direct and the engine parts from any Suzuki dealer. It's first MOT has just been done so is valid until 14/10/15. The Alp 4. 0 is new at around £4900 today in identical specification so I have set a reasonable reserve - the bike is based between Milton Keynes and Bedford.
