Race bikeOffered reluctantly up for sale is this very special Honda 500cc Race Bike.  This machine has an interesting history and is believed to have been used at the TT with links to Rob Vine of the Rob Vine trust. It has been used at the classic parade at the TT for a lap of the course due to its history there was no problem gaining an entry and i would say the same is true of the classic TT now and would make an excellent machine to ride at this popular event.  This is a period machine eligible for the crmc clubman class and aircooled upto 500cc The chassis is that of Dave Camier. it incorporates a rising rate linkage and a decarbon shock. This system works very well. The rest of the chassis is made of lightweight tubing and is fashioned on TZ yamaha dimensions. The engine sits nicely in the frame and the tank drops down either side keeping the mass centralized. The seat and fairing are TZ yamaha as are the wheels. Avon racing tyres.  The forks are period honda and have been resprung and work very well. The front brake is a period AP racing caliper on a bespoke bracket with an oversize front brake disk.  The engine. Wiseco high compession piston. New valves. ported head. megacycle cam. lightened crank. Close ratio gearbox. recently rebuilt with new bearings throughout. Ignition is self generating. 38mm Mikuni Carb. The tank is alloy construction.  This bike Is a good starter due to being well set up and has provision for a kick starter as i had thought about registering for the road. Sounds gorgeous. please contact me with any questions.  Offers invited.  Delivery possible nationwide.
