2013 Evo Powerboard, Road Legal Folding 500w Electric Scooter, MOT Due 2016

I?ˆ™m having a clearout of my odd little bikes and this is pretty odd! A 2013 Okai Evo Powerboard. It is fully road registered electric bike that costs pennies to run. In the time I?ˆ™ve had it I doubt I have done 5 miles however so it is time to move it on.  

Top speed is around 30kph and apparently it has a 45km range. I?ˆ™ve not been in a position to test that out though! This is helpfully equipped with the optional speedometer and battery indicator and is fully working with no faults as far as I can tell.  

It folds in seconds and will easily fit in the smallest of hatchbacks so transporting it is easy and it is perfect for camper or holiday use. It is quite quick up to about 20mph and then you need to chill out a bit but then being a fairly large lad I?ˆ™d expect it?ˆ™d be a bit quicker with someone lighter riding! It does ride nicely with its balloon tyres and it stops well with disc brakes. The front and rear lights are very effective.

It is classed as a moped so you need to wear a helmet & have insurance. it is taxed until the end of January 2015 and it is free being an electric vehicle. obviously because of this stupid new rule you will need to renew the tax  and it will not require an MOT until 2016.
