ARIEL COLT LH, 200cc 4-STROKE CLASSIC MOTORCYCLE, 1955 VINTAGE, HISTORY, BSA.

1955 Ariel Colt LH 200cc OHV. 4-stroke motorcycle. registration UKR 905 for final assembly. re-commission.

First registered in Kent 02/05/55 supplied by A Francis Motorcycles in Welling. Kent. A second owner in 1956 and then one family ownership until this year.

V5C registration document is present and in my name along with the original old buff log book and old tax discs up until this great little bike was taken off the road in 1960.

Showing just 24. 19 miles on the Smiths speedo. the engine and gearbox is original along with the registration number.

 During the last decade well over £500 has been invested in parts to fund an engine and gearbox rebuild. big end. main bearings. piston etc. front forks and brakes rebuild. new drive chain. bars. levers. saddle. exhaust. re-paint etc. there are receipts included from Draganfly the marque specialist for Ariel.

Original owners handbook. hand tyre pump. Ariel Owners Club despatch certificate and letters from the factory also included. please see images.

This now rare motorcycle will need careful final assembly even though it appears ready for the road. tyres and the electrics will require further restoration. the primary drive and generator need assembling.

I am informed that BSA manufactured a similar model in a smaller engine size with the same cycle parts as the Ariel Colt.

Nice lightweight OHV 4-stroke with a low saddle height. the dual seat metal base is also included in the sale.

Not licensed at present but eligible for free road tax and exemption from MOT.
