1945 Ariel Red Hunter Excellent condition Original PA Speedometer

1945 Ariel Red HunterI purchased this NOW Superb Ariel Red Hunter on Ebay in 2011 at a cost of £2100. 00 in the Barn find condition shown in one of the accompanying images with the sole intention of removing it's original PA Speedometer to sell separately and re-list the Ariel without a Speedometer. However once I collected the bike it was apparent that everything was totally original although in need of full restoration. It seemed criminal to break such an original Motorcycle. it was at this point I was bitten by the restoration bug. Now almost 3 years and a further £3000. 00 + later I am proud to be able to display this Superb Born againAriel 350 Red hunterIn pristine Condition and Still retaining it's Original PA SpeedometerVirtually every part of the motorcycle with exception of the exhaust system. Rims and Spokes / Tyres. is original to the bike and has been fully restored to a very high spec as hopefully can be seen. The Engine was on it's original bore and has now been re-bored +0010" with new Piston. all bearings replaced. The Bike now Sounds and runs superb. allthough it has only covered around 5 test miles since re-build so will still need running in. As can be seen I have the Original Buff Log book stating date of registration to be 24 July 1945. As DVLC appear to have lost all original records for motor vehicals pre 1970 a New type registration certificate will need to be applied for which I feel will be an easy process possibly with a little help from the Ariel Owners club. Whilst I know exactly how much this bike has cost me to have restored to the condition you now see. I haven't a clue as to it's value.
