Scott Flying Squirrel 1932 vintage and Silk 700S 1977 motorcycle motorbike

  Price listed is for both bikes. nbsp; the Scott is ??8300 and the Silk ??10. 90.   The Silk is very low mileage and has extensive history and MOT's the verify this. I am the 2nd owner.

The Scott is a 1932 Flying squirrel De-luxe.   I am the 3rd owner.   The reg number is KVS 764 (formerly GW 8844) and the engine is a 596cc short stroke number FY 3792.   The mileage is 34358

It was subject to a extensive restoration in the late 90's to early 2000's. this included a full engine. mag wheel. oil pump. radiator. and fork rebuild.   Most of the bike is original. the notable exceptions being the mudguardsand various brackets.

It has not been on the road for approx 40 years and will need some further work. i. e. rear stand spring. wiring to lights and battery. a period battery box etc.   One area which could be improved cosmetically is the mudguards and stays taking back to bare metal to repaint.

It starts and runs nicely and inspection is welcome.

The Silk is a  1977 700S   I am the 2nd keeper.   The reg number is PAU 416R.   The engine is a 650cc engine number 700/2/40.   The mileage is currently 3578.

This was subject to a restoration in 2011  which is well documented.   It has the original handbooks and and a extensive service history.

Also the sales invoice and correspondence to and from the Silk factory prior to and after purchase.

I have covered approx 100 miles on it at a sedate pace (running in engine) the only thing that needs attention to date are the forks as the front end is too soft and bottoms out easily.
