Off road buggy with 5. 5bhp 4 stroke engine

DESCRIPTION:

We have found out that this was actually from an old go-kart attraction at flambards. Helston Cornwall.

One of about 15 that were originally sold off.

Off road buggy is powered by a 5. 5 bhp 4 troke engine + reduction gearbox. centrifugal cluth drive (push pedal & go) converting from shaft to duplex (twin) chain + sprocket drive.

Axle is of unknown manufacturer but has a diff inside to aid turning & hub adaptors from 4 bolt to 3 bolt rear rims.

The buggy is extremely heavy duty. and shows signs of being geared up for constant use in a fair ground ride.

It's also very heavy!!

Chassis is 2" box section. front bumpers are 10mm thick. 2" wide flat bar that has been curved with 1-1/4" tube additional edging.

These could easily be chopped off and lighter quad/ATV aluminium bumpers could be utilised.

May have been/ could be used as a green keepers buggy or something similar due to the tow bar ?

Heavy duty side steps and roll cage. body is glass fibre.

22 x 11 -8 Knobbly tyres all round.

We originally sourced & collected the buggy for a client.

They were going to restore themselves but they never got round to starting it.

So we had it back and recommissioned it for use/sale:

New rear tyre. rebuilt complete braking system with new seals/pads/springs and brake line. and got it drivable.

It runs. drives. stops and is good fun. Gearing is suited for kids but could be changed with differrent sprocket ratios etc.

This will sit 2 adults (both of us testing are not of slim build!! haha)

 Turning circle isn't fantastic but could be easily modified

but this is perfect for someone looking to start their own project.
