1929 SCOTT ISLE-OF-MAN SENIOR TT EX-WORKS 1929 MOTORCYCLE

This lovely machine is one of the works machines with special frames built for the 1929 Isle-of-Man Senior TT. (Frame number is 3M). An old friend of mine acquired it when he was 19. back in 1949. It remained in his hands. unrestored. until his death in 1997. when his widow sold it to well-known Yorkshire autojumbler David Earnshaw. He sold it at a Beaulieu autojumble to Paul d'Orleans from San Francisco. who is renowned as "The Vintagent". with a popular vintage motorcycle website. He left it with a professional restorer in the UK. but after about eight years (!!) had elapsed very little progress had been made. and I was able to buy it in 2011. and then I began a long. difficult. and expensive three-year restoration. which was completed in July 2014.

It was entered into the Scott Owners' Club Rally at Abbotsholme. Staffordshire. in August 2014. where it won "The President's Award" for "Best Competition Scott".

The engine has been totally rebuilt by Scott specialist Richard Blackburn. using new Moss high-strength cranks. and other respected specialists attended to the BTH K2R1 TT magneto. the paintwork. nickel plating. carburettor. front forks. wheels. etc. . etc. All bills. receipts. V5C. etc. . are available for inspection. together with my TT Scott research material gleaned over many years of my involvement with 1928 and 1929 works TT Scotts. It will require running-in before track day use is contemplated.

For security reasons I will require full identification details from anyone wishing to view the machine.

The buyer will have to make their own arrangements for collection of the motorcycle. after payment has been received and cleared.
