Velocette LE 1960 in unrestored condition Cherished Number 637PPA tax exempt

Hi I have for sale a black tax exempt 1960 200cc Velocette LE for complete restoration. The bike is in unrestored condition (except see below) and comes complete with period luggage rack and touring panniers made by Craven Equipment of London. Unusually the aluminium leg shields which are easily damaged are also in very good condition. When I took ownership of the bike the engine had low compression. Investigation proved that the valves were in poor condition and as I had the necessary spare parts I installed new valves. valve guides and head gaskets which restored the compression and the engine now runs. all gears appear to select properly although I have not attempted to ride the bike. The bike appears to be complete except for the radiator cap. battery and the headlight glass. As far as I can tell the valuable number plate is transferable. Please note that the bike is not rideable on the road and will need to be transported on a trailer. van or similar. The bike is registered to me in my name. at my address and I have the V5C. UK buyers only please. cash on collection is preferred but I will also accept PayPal and cheques. Any cheques will need to be cleared by my bank before the bike is released.
