Velocette MSS

 This Velocette MSS is a late Magneto Ignition Model with the Lucas Headlight/tailamp 60 watt generator spec. & Thruxton  deep body headlight.   2nd owner noted  Velocette guru in the Northeast upgraded the cycle to Thruxton spec. Engine has had Thruxton 9/1 piston and Thruxton high performance cams and the proper special cam followers fitted.   The Thruxton rear set footpegs and brake assembly are installed . Not shown are the Thruxton  gearbox shift linkage and pedal which are included . The 3rd owner fabricated a simple positive reverse shift lever as seen in pics.   preferring it to the akward Thruxton linkage. The kickstart lever has been modified to give increased leverage improving the starting drill . Alloy rims. & Twin leading shoe front brake are all Thruxton equipment as is the correct large capacity Thruxton Petrol tank with the cutaway at the right rear corner to clear the large GP racing carb that was fitted to a  Thruxton. This cycle has it's original MSS cyl head and a correct period Amal concentric carb fitted see pics. Owned by Velo enthusiasts 4 owners from new it's believed . In heated storage for 25+ years. this machine has a long known history having been in the Northern New England area from new.
