MODEL M75 Springer I have owned this since September 2008 and the V5 is in my name. Made in 1955 by Phelon & Moore in Yorkshire. Got a spiel about the Lightweight Panthers on the Panther Owners Club website. www. pantherownersclub. com I bought this on a whim and in a box. and have since repainted it. unfortunately a colour scheme wasn't available at the time. I got colour-match from inside chain-case. and have since discovered that tank should be two-tone with cream-colour inset under the badge. I took for granted that the primer work done by previous owner was correct but has since blistered slightly so requires strip. etch. prime and paint. I have re-wired it. replaced horn. petrol taps. refurbished the dynamo. got it running with no nasty noises and no smoke. . It has magneto ignition. Some of these (Deluxe version ?) were supplied with coil and points ignition.  Has Historic tax. It was fully MOT'ed in 2011 when I finished building it but now does not require testing. If you want to hear bike running you will have to supply your own physical effort to kickstart---I'm quite happy to supply petrol and technical input and of course. encouragement to kick harder. but you have to appreciate hasn't been started in 2 years! Has been dry-stored in my workshop and was shown at Lothian & Borders Classic Motorcycle Club Annual Show at Peebles; Scotland in 2013 and 2014. This bike is NOT concours. wheels and shocks have been poorly silver-painted. has new exhaust system. new seat. new bits and pieces. The R/H toolbox is missing but it is available from India as a re-manufactured part. I have changed the seat height(doesn't look quite right in the pics) and it is tidy. nearly sixty years old  and part of British motorcycle history. I hate to admit it. but can't manage to kick-start these now (bad knee and old age) so electric start only for me nowadays (have looked at roller starters. but too expensive--maybe develop my own) Registration is year-related and NON-TRANSFERABLE.

I have listed as Classified Advert  at a set price as I'm not prepared to pay E bay's Final Value Fee. I would expect a discussion about value when viewed (I don't think I will sell without bike being seen as want the buyer to satisfy themselves as to condition/state etc. ) but at the moment its worth what someone will pay. Email with questions or call me on 07914-345376. I don't respond to curt text-messages but happy to call back if land-line UK number or mobile number is supplied; I'm a bit old fashioned and expect us all to behave like gentlemen. Bike not sold until I have agreed price in my grubby little hands; there are a lot of dreamers out there!
