Matchless G12 650 1961 AJS AMC Classic Collector Super Condition & Runner

Matchless G12 650 twin 1961 I bought this bike along with a few others off an elderly chap who was finishing with bikes. nbsp; it had not been on the road for a few years and hadn't been started for a while. however. nbsp; I think it will make an amazing bike with a few jobs done. nbsp; for instance the kick start doesn't return. the centre stand needs new spring. and the ammeter doesn't show a charge. although. the lights are bright and the battery stays up. nbsp; I suppose there will be other things to do. inc. service and check over and because of that and the fact that it hasn't been on the road for so long. nbsp; it will be sold as a project.

The bike starts easily. it has a oil tap ignition isolator fitted. nbsp; feels spot on to ride. gears and brakes are nice. engine is smooth and pulls like a train. nbsp; it is a long time since I rode one of these and I have to say I am really impressed with the way it goes and the way it is set up. it feels 'right'. nbsp; however I don't know what has been done to the bike in the past. but what ever and who ever. seem to have done it right.   the only documents I have is the V5c.
