I bought this moped last year it was in stunning condition but needed a few finishing touches to get it through an MOT. I completed the work over the winter and joined NACC (THE NATIONAL AUTOCYCLE AND CYCLEMOTOR CLUB ?®) they helped me through the process of getting it registered on its original 1967 ?ˆ?E?ˆ? reg plate. I now have a V5C in my name. the registration number is not transferable so please don?ˆ™t bid if all you want is the plate! The previous owner bought this bike 7 year ago from another member of NACC who had given its full restoration it was his intention to get it registered and use it on his canal boat but never got round to it. It sat in a garage for 7 year and has gained some surface rust to the white paint in places. nothing serious just needs a quick rub down in certain areas and some aerosol paint applied. The chrome work is still in good condition. I had the bike MOTed at Ian Bell Motorcycles on 07/06/2014 and Taxed for a full year the same day. It was last taxed before that in 1975 and I have that disc and one from 1972. I rode the bike to the MOT station and back a journey of about 6 miles and later that day took it out for a short run of about 10 miles everything was perfect apart from the seat ( I have since fitted a sprung saddle. much more comfortable!). The next time I attempted a run it would not start. it turns over and the piston moves in the cylinder but it doesn?ˆ™t fire up. probably something small but as I have been saving for my Silver Wedding trip to India from which I returned on Monday I never got round to getting it fixed. Now I am back from India I need to get some bills paid so my beloved Runabout has to go. I don?ˆ™t want silly money for it and will start bidding at ??499. 00.
