Hillman Imp de Luxe Mk II

In a moment of insanity I purchased this IMP. My intention was to put a paint job on it and enjoy the poor mans Porsche 356. As with most thing. I could not leave well enough alone so I disassembled the car and noticed a bit of rust. So here comes the insanity! I spent over $5. 00 on this car and it is stunning. The body got a rotisserie restoration. Having restored cars in the past. I decided to spend a small fortune to insure very little bondo was used. The body was hand hammered to perfection and received a coat of Epoxy. followed be a very thin wipe of bondo than sealed top to bottom with epoxy again. The bottom of the car has no undercoating so the car has nothing to hide the bottom is painted as nice as the top and interior. After. being painted a stunning white with 3 coats of clear. I was talked into paying a bit more and having the car rubbed with 800 and hit with 3 more coats of clear.  I recently purchased a Alfa Romeo Sprint Veloce. which is costing me far more than one should spend to restore a car so I decided to let my beloved IMP go which will free up space. stop my wife from yelling that I have too many unfinished projects and pay for a few missing bits for my little Sprint.  Most every suspension part was soda blasted and painted. including the pedal box and steering column. The motor needs to be assembled but everything is there. The interior is ok but the car is way to nice to but older seats in.  This car will make an amazing race car or street car. I really hate to see it go but S@#t happens.  The car is located in fort lauderdale florida. I can send more detailed pics if someone has an interest.
