1980 Maico 250 M Motocross Racer AHRMA 2 shocker!

 [EDIT: Thanks to a fellow eBayer the model year is corrected to be a "1980" not a "1979"] Survivor or Barn Find. whatever you want to call it. this is a time capsule. Completely factory stock Maico 250. S# 346-0932 E#MT346-0973 The motorcycle was purchased new and ridden for less than one season (maybe 25 hours on motor) at very few local race events. put up in the shed and came out just a few months ago. after only a good wash. complete carburetor clean out and inspection of all internal surfaces a compression test was performed and held at 125psi with 1/4 ounce of fresh fuel the bike started on the third kick for the first time in 34 years. Everything that came stock is is on the bike or with the sale. I did add new plastic as the factory plastic was so brittle it broke the side covers just removing the bolts. the grips are even stock on this race machine. Add some of your own mods and a set of tires and tune for a fun AHRMA vintage race season in the spring. Completely factory stock 2nd owner (never ridden by 2nd owner) Maico 250.
