Original 1958 VNA1T Piaggio Vespa

 This auction is for an original 1958 Piaggio Vespa.   This scooter was donated by the Piaggio Museum in Pisa. Italy to the American-Italian Cancer Foundation in New York for an auction that was held at the Pierre Hotel on November 24. 1997.   The gentleman that won the bike at auction kept it in storage until March of 2012 where he authorized the East Coast Cycle Center in Bensalem. PA to sell it for him.  This is where I purchased the scooter.   I have owned the bike since March 31. 2012.   It is completely original except for the new tires and wheels I purchased and installed.   (Originals will be included with the bike. ) I have gone thru the process and have a clear NC title for the machine.   I tagged the scooter for a short time to be able to ride it on the road to local car/bike shows.   Included with the Vespa is all the historical papers that includes Piaggio's Historical Registration. Certificate of Origin that shows the vehicle was produced by Piaggio & C. S. p. A at the Pontedera factory then shipped for the first time to Milan. Italy on the 14th of January 1958.   Also included in the documents is the Live Auction Report. a signed letter from Museo Piaggio to confirm that the scooter was donated to the American-Italian Cancer Foundation of New York. nbsp; EPA's paperwork where the bike came through US Customs on October 11. 1997. nbsp; The bill of sale from my purchase. nbsp; and various other associated historical records.   The bike does have the patina of the 56 years of life but is solid and runs well.   Shipping/pick up will be completely up to the buyer.   By appointment.
