1986 CZ 125 D/L - JAWA

Here we have a 1986 Cz 125 that has been off the road since 1997. the previous owner used it for one year back in 1996 and then left it in the shed "just in case" he decided to use it again. during the last 17 years it's been brought out and ran around the block now and again. when i got it it hadn't been used for a year or three. i fitted a new battery and cleaned the carb out and it fired up. albeit rather smoky. i ran it up and down the drive and everything works apart from the front brake light switch. it's had higher bars fitted at some point and the wires don't reach. it goes and stops ok although the brakes are a bit woolly and could do with a clean up. Overall condition isn't bad considering it age and the time it's been "resting". as is often the case on ebay the pictures make it look better than it is. the paint is slightly rusty in places and there's various scuffs and scrapes. the chrome on the back wheel is flaking off and the fuel tank is manky inside. i've cleaned it out but it will need doing again after it's been run for a while. the reserve position on the fuel tap is blocked which is good as non of the crap will go into the carb. it's easy to unblock them when the tank is cleaned out again. on the plus side it's fitted with a useful rack. So there you have it. i've got the latest V5c in my name. there's no mot on it so it's being sold as spares or repair. please remember that this is being sold as seen and described. no guarentee is given or implied.
