Restriction of your 50cc Moped

 

 

Legally all 50cc Mopeds are restricted to 30Mph but we have specially designed ours so that once your over the legal age of 17 we can easily de-restrict your Moped giving you that extra BHP and desired speed of around 45Mph

 

If you wish to have your Moped de-restricted before delivery we can do it for a small charge of ?29. 95

 

 

Registration of your new Moped

 

We will issue you a registration number on purchase so that you can take out insurance instantly on your scooter. We will take the paperwork to the DVLA on your behalf and the process is completed in days. This will cost you the following:

DVLA Registration fee ?55. 00

12 months road tax ?17. 00

Number plate ?15. 00

Administration charge ?30. 00

TOTAL ?117. 00

The DVLA will not ask for the scooter to be inspected

PLEASE NOTE THAT WE NO LONGER ISSUE PAPERWORK FOR YOU TO REGISTER THE SCOOTER YOURSELF. THIS IS DUE TO CHANGES AT THE DVLA FROM 15th APRIL 2013 WHICH MAKES IT MORE DIFFICULT FOR YOU TO CARRY OUT THIS PROCESS.

The need for insurance

You need at least third party insurance to ride a scooter and it is your responsibility to take out cover:

Third Party is the cheapest as you're only covered for injuries or damage you do to others or their property. Fire and Theft covers your scooter being set on fire or stolen (and gives cover for third parties). Fully Comprehensive is the most expensive option but covers repairs to your scooter after an accident even if no other parties were involved.

Because we are one of the largest importer of products from China we also carry a large inventory of parts on hand that will fit other models sold by other dealers because not all dealers can supply you parts for the products they have sold you this is a good reason to buy from us

At Motorbike-Madness we offer:

12 Months on the engine itself. this excludes but not limited to cables. lights. tyres. plastics fairings and serviceable items (Sparks plugs etc) from date of delivery to you provided your Moped has not been used for a business use and full service history can be provided showing the correct servicing intervals as stated in your handbook.

Warranty is subject to the following:

Warranty Cannot Be Transferred To Another Person

Servicing should be followed out by any motorcycle servicing depot as per the handbook.

If a claim is made a proof of servicing will be required.

Moped must be used for personal uses only. It cannot be used for business uses.

We have the right to give the bike a full inspection to determine any tampering or miss-use.

 

Service must be carried out at 300km. or within 4 weeks whichever occurs first. Motorbike-Madness will not be liable for servicing costs.

 The first service must be followed by a 1000km service. Full service schedule is included in the delivery pack. **Warranty is valid provided scooter has had the necessary service schedules completed by the customer and can retain 'proof of service' for inspection. and scooter has not been subjected to abuse. odifications. competition riding or commercial use.
