maico 490 twinshock mx 1981

Absolutely beautiful example of the best twinshock ever built. this MAICO 490 1981 has been completely restored to a very high standard as the pictures show. the forks have RACE BASE internals allowing adjustment to damping and compression making them work almost like modern forks. Rear shocks are Ohlins so no need to say more. Motor has only been run for 30 minutes  since new piston kit and rebore so is not yet fully run in . All other required bearings and seals replaced . New seat base . foam and cover. New plastics. throttle and cables. New Race Base billet inlet manifold.  New stainless steel rear brake rod. every nut and bolt replaced. This is a very easy to start bike and runs very sweetly and  sounds like a Maico should.   I have set a realistic reserve so please don't bid if you don't  want to buy. Buyer must pay cash only on collection. This bike is advertised elsewhere so I reserve the right to end sale early.
