Garelli vip 50cc moped

Here we have my little 1979 Garelli VIP 50cc moped. These are one of the first mopeds without pedals. It is a 3 speed manual and all gears work.

I brought this as another project but due to lack of space. lack of time and having 'too' many projects it is up for sale. it was found in a shed and the engine was solid. BUT I have freed up the engine. replaced the piston. changed the oil and had it running. I even rode it up and down the lane a couple times. The front light works.

As can be seen it does have surface rust and looks abit sorry for itself. BUT it is only surface rust and is cosmetic. All panels are solid!!

Chrome work is rusty but solid. Tyres hold air but are cracked. No speedo. No silencer. Some cables come with the bike but I would replace them. Seat needs recovering. No rear light. The front forks are slightly bent but could possibly be straightened.

There isn't a number plate. BUT I do have the V5 and it is in my name.  

But all in all this would make a great little project for someone.

Remember that this bike is 35 years old.
