Description

2003 California StoneApprox. 20. 00 miles (see below)12 months MOTTaxed under the new rules so purchaser will need to tax the bike when ownership transfersLocated in South East LondonMechanically perfect with excellent paintwork and very good chrome. Genuine Moto Guzzi touring screen and Hepco and Becker Moto Guzzi badged hard panniers included. Runs and rides beautifully. Plenty of life left in both front and rear BT45s. Owner's Manual. service book and both sets of keys present. I recently decided to give "Adventure" riding a go and bought a Stelvio NTX. I can't afford to run two bikes so the Cali has to go as much as I love it. It was when gathering all of the paperwork together for the sale that I realised that the odometer reading had not changed for the last two MOTs (the trip meter which I use as a fuel gauge was working perfectly so I did not notice that the the odometer was not incrementing). I have replaced the defunct Veglia unit with a high quality electronic unit from VDO matched to an Acewell sender unit. This is now reading 20 miles which is the distance I covered to get the bike MOTed and to test the new speedo was working properly. Mileage quoted above is an estimate based on the final reading on the old odometer (15. 00) and my estimated annual mileage plus the distance I covered on a trip to Italy via the MotoRail train to Livorno. I feel it is accurate to within +/- 500 miles. Bad bitsNot many! Screen has four holes drilled where a laminar lip was mounted and the front mud guard has rust forming on the front and back edges. (A few years ago I removed the rear mud guard. de-rusted it. painted and under-sealed the underside before refinishing the paint on the upper side where rust had started to form. If I was keeping the bike my next job would be to do the same to the front). Chrome on the wheel rims has some rust spotting but this is only noticeable close up. Please note that you are bidding to buy not to negotiate the price at a later date! If you are unsure how much you are prepared to pay please contact me to arrange a viewing before bidding. Winning bidder to pay ?300 deposit via PayPal and the balance by bank transfer or cash. Cleared funds must be in my account before the bike is handed over. Good luck!. ichard
