Royal Enfield Continental GT 250 1967 T & T On The Road Nice Condition Thro out

Royal Enfield 250 Continental GT 1967 the bike we all wanted in the 60's but. couldn't afford. nbsp; in 2008 this bike had some work done on it which included. a new seat from Hitchcocks. both clocks were refurbished and the bore was honed and a new standard piston was fitted. since then it has done about 7500  miles. it has been used for regular runs out at weekend and has been very reliable. very recently it has had a careful repair to the petrol tank. and has been sealed with the proper type of sealer. nbsp; and now seems leak free. it has also had a new battery this week.

Although this bike is taxed and tested and on the road. because of its age and its collectability it is being sold as a project. ask any questions. come and look start it up and satisfy yourself that it's what you want but. obviously there can be no warranty.

The chap I bought it off is a qualified engineer and I have no reason to doubt that the work and maintenance  carried out while in his ownership was done to a high standard. this machine is a good example of this sought after bike. but it isn't concourse.   it has been fitted with a four speed cluster. but. the five speed one is with it.   Also with it is the original battery cover the one fitted is new from Hitchcocks.  

I have contacted the 'man who knows' at the club and he says that from the information available he is as sure as anyone can be that the engine and frame left the factory together  and that it is a GT and not a replica.
