A cracking looking bike in silver with red wheels. a half red seat. wavy discs and a really nice LCD dashboard with a choice of 9 different colours of backlight. I prefer the red. I chose the Baotian Falcon after some research. It is a high quality chinese 2 stroke scooter modeled on the air cooled Yamaha Aerox. One of the advantages is that the performance restriction for 16 year olds is cleverly achieved electrically rather than mechanically. This means when going uphill you have all of the performance available to you subject only to the speed restriction even though you cannot exceed 30mph downhill. The other advantage is that derestriction is easily achieved by disconnecting one wire. Learn more in this blog:http://www. pedparts. co. uk/blog/chinese-2-stroke-moped-tuning-baotian-falconYou will see from reading the blog that the biggest restriction in the ultimate performance of the engine is the standard exhaust pipe which looks good but doesn't allow the engine to breathe properly. The recommendation is to fit a Motoforce pipe which looks more boring but inside is a half wave expansion chamber which. together with a larger main jet. allows it to rev out better in all circumstances. You are in luck because. guess what. this bike has one fitted. The standard pipe is also included if required. Another advantage of this bike is that both headlights work on both dip and main beam. If you are looking at other makes watch for some where you only have one light on dip. There is a useful under seat storage compartment although not big enough for my expensive flip front helmet. available separately if required. It is tidy but not mint. There are some scuffs and scratches on the bodywork and a crack in the bodywork nearest the seat. see photos. The locks are not the best quality. The one that holds the battery cover on didn't do anything effective and the wind blew the cover off when it was parked so that is now held on by velcro. MOT is not due until May. tyres are both good and it comes with a full tank of fuel and all ready to go. Spare parts are readily available and reasonably priced http://www. chinesemotorcyclepartsonline. co. uk/. Their web site is really good and easy to navigate and their customer service is second to none. See also www. pedparts. co. uk/?. They focus mainly on Italian and Japanese stuff but are good for non make-specific bits and again have excellent customer service and produce useful blogs as above. Cash on collection preferred. Any questions. send me a message.
