Professionally built Penton 1974 / 74 (various components) 125cc Six Day motocross racer. Built as a period MettCo replica. nbsp; white powder coated frame. red tank color. All top shelf components used to make this a vintage AHRMA Classic 125 (or equivalent in other organizations) Expert level winning motocross racer. Campaigned off and on with several Expert podiums.
Motor is a Sachs 6B fresh top end. PVL ignition. custom ported. Carl Cranke replica pipe (Circle F build). 32mm Mikuni. jetted well. With the PVL and little flywheel weight this motor rips and screams on top end. 32mm Mikuni delivers great top end. nbsp; but as with any modified 125cc . not a lot of power in low revs. all upper mid to top. Several hole-shots and podiums in AHRMA nationals with 190 lb Expert rider.
Large diameter front forks. S12 tires front and rear. nbsp; magnesium hubs. Excel rims. laced to heavy gauge Buchannan spokes. Ohlins rear shocks. custom swing arm shock mount position. Suspension dialed in for 190 lb Expert rider. Excellent Penton handling and steering. this is a top shelf race bike ran for several seasons in the Classic 125cc AHRMA class at nationals and always ran near or at front. I am thinning down my race stables. as racing slowing down.
This bike has over $6K invested with build and cost to fab all components. Considering this was built several years back. price discounted to reflect.
Bike needs only basic check over and maybe new chain to be ready to race on any vintage motocross event and be a front runner. Save yourself the build time to try and replicate this bike!
