1975 CZ 400 Falta Replica

This is a matching numbers bike.  

I'm listing this bike for a friend who lives locally.

I did not do any of the work on the bike. but I am familiar with the people who did and their reputation is excellent.

This bike was rebuilt to be a racer. the tank shows a few character marks. other than that. this is a very clean bike.

The engine was rebuilt by Steve Machado of Dublin. Northern California.

The balanced crank and rod kit were supplied by CR High Performance.

Other features of the bike are as follows and are NEW unless indicated:

 Magura levers and perches. Whirlpull throttle. Renthal handle bars and a CR Fork Extension Kit.

 Electronic ignition and exhaust pipe. all new cables. and plastic fenders.

MK51 Dunlop rear tire and a Sedona on the front.

The Full Circle rims are new as well as the Buchanan spokes and nipples.

The engine was gone through top to bottom with new bearings and seals.

The cylinder received a fresh first over bore with a new piston and a mild clean up on the ports.

A GEM reed kit has also been installed as well as a new air filter.

The engine was also converted to a dry clutch system.

There is a CR chain tensioner on the bike as well as a folding shift lever.

The bike features wider foots pegs and a new chain.

The tank strap is a reproduction item and is new as well as the seat cover.

The lower triple clamp is a 4 bolt unit as found on the Falta replica bikes

The 36mm Mikuni and the Red Wing shocks had 2 rides on them from a previous bike. both items are still like new.

The swingarm bushings have been replaced. which leads us to the chassis of the bike.

It has been modified with the top shock mounts being moved forward on the frame.

The modification is clean and the welds were nicely done.

The rear loop was contoured into that position when the frame was modified. this is not a repair. there is no sign of it being damaged and then welded.

The bike starts easily and idles smoothly as it should.   Everything operate perfectly.

I took the bike for a spin today around the parking lot of my shop. it runs great. no stories.

This bike has not been raced since the rebuild and only has break in time on it.
