 Have you ever dreamed of building a street legal 2-stroke vintage dual sport utilizing European handling and appearance. but the power and reliability of a Japanese bike? Well boys. then here is one very unique and super cool bike. This started out life as a very nice complete Maico GP chassis & suspension with an aftermarket boxed swingarm (unknown brand) with 3 shock positions. Then. a complete 1974 DT360 Yamaha Enduro running gear. electrics. and wheels were installed along with a bunch of custom fabricating. All of the Yamaha's: engine & carb. turn signals. keyed switch. custom built battery box. speedo. wiring harness. brake lights. headlight. bar controls with switches. mirrors. horn. wheels w/brakes. etc. were cleanly installed into this chassis. Beautiful polished aluminum Maico coffin tank (looks brand new). beautiful early Maico external spring forks (with excellent chrome on tubes). seat. opaque Maico fenders. bars. & super nice custom built down pipe with silencer (& bash bars) is virtually brand new. Plastic airbox. Vintage Moto-X Fox rear shocks work great. Tall GP seat with new cover. Metzler front & Dunlop rear tires are excellent. New fork boots. new bars. new grips. new levers. etc. etc. Dual mirrors. Rear brake light switch. Even has a working horn! And. still sports the original looooong Maico side stand.

This bike currently sits quite low and someone as short as 5'4" can touch the ground flat footed. If you are a taller individual. I have later model Maico 38mm long travel tall forks & triples. and longer shocks available (at additional charge) if someone wants to raise this bike up.

Engine # 446-007697 and fully street legal WA TITLE is included.

Rides just like you'd think it would. Has the power. brakes. reliability. and ease of maintenance of a 2-stroke 360DT--but handles like a Maico GP. It's the best of both worlds.

I can't even guess as to how much this bike must have cost previous owner to build. let alone all the man hours it took to fabricate and make it work so well together. Keep in mind it took 2 bikes to build it. It must have been a lot of $$ though as the workmanship is first rate.  The motor looks like it belongs there. I bought this bike for myself. but I'm 6'3" and it sits just a tad too low for me. So. before I started to swap out suspension components in order to raise it some I figured I'd just pass this along to the next guy. A one-of-a-kind vintage custom that really was built right. You won't be disappointed. Guaranteed to be the 'talk' of any vintage bike show you enter. and best of all you can ride to the show! Or better yet fully AHRMA legal vintage (pre-'74) 'vinduro' eligible.

Excellent compression and spark. Bike has been sitting and should run after YOUR RACE PREP prior to riding or racing it. Will need a new battery.
