This is a rare 1985 Vespa 125 T5 Pole Position True Sport Touring Scooter. This model was never sold within the USA. First. Some history about this scoot. About eight years ago. I bought a private collection of about fifteen assorted scooters from a gentleman here in Minnesota. This person had imported these scooters here straight from Italy. Within the collection were three of these Vespa T5 models. I chose to keep the best one of those three scooters for my own collection. which is the one you see here in this auction. I have since then gone through and sold the others. Now back to this Vespa. It has 22. 25 kilometers(about 14. 21 miles) on the odometer. It was originally a 125cc air cooled two stroke scooter with a four speed transmission. Its easily capable of 60+ mph or 100+km/h. This thing is a wheelie machine. Since the time I have owned this. I have had the entire engine rebuilt with all new seals. bearings. & gaskets. The crankshaft is a new German unit from S. I. P. Scooter Shop. The piston & cylinder were replaced with a 155cc Polini Cast Iron kit. The clutch assembly was replaced with an Eight Spring Cosa Clutch Kit. The magneto works perfectly as well as all the lights. switches. speedometer gauge. & the digital tachometer gauge. This rare scooter starts. runs. and drives very well every time. Even after sitting for an extended season in storage. I no longer have the original keys for the ignition. for i lost them years ago. I have since bypassed the ignition switch with a On/Off toggle switch located within the storage compartment. The previous owner had speakers installed on the storage compartment door. The screens are still there. but the speakers themselves are long gone. The unlock button cover for the seat has fallen off & is lost. although the pin is still there so you can still unlock the seat to fill the fuel & oil tank. As you may notice it does have some rare accessories from the eighties installed. Like the FAR Accessori FLY2 Windscreen. the Utah Overflap Plastic Kit. & a performance rear shock absorber. Another thing you will notice is there is a 12 volt battery in the storage compartment. This is strictly for the under chassis lights which was for show. Otherwise you can remove it all if desired and it will not affect the drivability of this scooter for it does not need a battery. I do have the original Ownership Certificate of Title from Italy. It will be included with the sale of the vehicle if needed by your state for registration along with a bill of sale receipt. Please look at all the pictures carefully and send messages accordingly for any needed information.
