1976 Peugeot TSA French sports moped

I am selling this 1976 Peugeot TSA sports moped. I don't know much about these apart from the fact that they were introduced to compete with the Japanese sports mopeds of the 70`s. If you look carefully at the pictures you will see that really all Peugeot really did was to put a modern seat and petrol tank onto a step through moped to modernise and create a sporty looking moped.

Having checked out some French websites apparently these bikes were good for about 45 mph so about the same as a fizzy.

The bike is in unrestored condition and needs some work. The seat cover needs replacing and the back light is missing. The engine turns over ok with good compression and I don't think it will take much to get it running. If you check out the photos you will see that the bike has two exhausts! This is not as Peugeot intended. The upswept exhaust is the original but someone has fitted a mobylette type silencer under the engine. I have the original pipe to refit to the upswept silencer.

I can`t really tell you much more about the bike so please look carefully at the pictures to see the overall condition. If you are looking for an unusual bike for moped rallies this could be for you. I don`t think there are many of these in the UK. I have never seen one on the road in France.

Parts for this bike are available in France and I can put you in touch with a spares person in France who speaks English and who can source the parts that this bike needs if your French is a bit rusty.

There is no log book with the bike as until 2012 mopeds in France did not require registering. I will supply the bike with a French certificate de cession and receipt in French and English to assist with registering in the UK.

Delivery is possible in the UK please email me before the end of the auction for a Price. You can also collect the bike from the Kempton park autojumble on the 21st of March or the Ardingly classic bike Show on the 29th of March if that is easier for you.

Payment is by cash on collection  if you are picking the bike up or cleared sterling cheque or bank transfer if you are having the bike delivered.
