Description

Here we have 50cc Peugeot Looxor scooter that would make someone a great little commutor or runaround bike. Its fitted with a peugeot top box as a bonus. It has just been Mot'd and had to have a new set of front brake pads and a brake bleed to pass the MOT. and its done about 2 miles since the MOT. Its also taxed till next August but I dont know how you stand with the new road tax laws. The front pads are therefore still in the bedding in process. Its got the bigger wheels 16" wheels which make it a bit more stable than a standard scooter in my mind. and a bit more like riding a proper motorbike.  Its got a few a little marks here and there but generally tidy for a 12 yr old bike thats covered  22000 miles.  Its had a top end rebuild including a new piston and barrel and a new exhaust and battery. and new variator clutch rollers and new tyres along with full service 1500 miles ago (along with the bills for just under £550 to prove it). The work was carried out by Motosport Ltd of Yeovil. I bought it with the electric starter motor not working. It stated first time on the kick start but as it was for my daughter I fitted a new starter motor and its working fine now. I bought it for my daughter to run around on when she came home from college in the USA. but shes met a guy out there. getting married. and shes not going to be coming back any time in the near future. so its been a bit of a wasted exercise to be honest. I can tell you no more about the bike other bthan what it says above. I have ridden it just about 5 miles to and from the MOT. It starts and runs great but its only 50cc and they are restricted to 30mph by law. However it was doing 40 on the dual carriageway with my 15 stone on it. although it wasnt quite so happy going up hills! But the I am probably a bit biased as I am used to my 1000cc and havent ridden one of these in about 10 yrs !!! If it was mine I would probably get it derestricted which costs next to nothing (or do it yourself. Its really easy!) and then you would probably get it to 50 on the flat. Im selling it as is. no warranty implied or intended as I dont know anything else about it other than whats said above. Ive been advised to state sold spares or repair to cover myself. I know of nothing wrong with it but I dont want any comeback whatsoever. You are welcome to come and look before the auction end and ride it round our yard. But its not going on the road till its sold and Ive got cash in my hand.  Any questions call/text 07474650579 or message me through ebay. You bid to buy not to haggle. Non paying bidders will be reported. Cash on collection pleaseDelivery is possible. Contact me for costs BEFORE you bid if you need a delivery. Locally (up to 50 miles) we can probably do it ourselves but if you want it shipped further try getting quotes from shiply. com as they usually come up with the best quotes. Good luck.
